Siding

Siding repair and replacement that keeps water moving away from the wall, not into it.

901-760-7599

Siding is the part of the envelope people judge from the curb and the part water tests hardest. Most siding failures we get called out to are not really siding failures — they are flashing failures at a roof-to-wall transition, a kick-out that was never installed, or a window wrap that sheds water behind the cladding instead of in front of it.

Because we own the roof, those transitions are one company's responsibility. There is no seam in the work where the roofer blames the siding crew.

Flashing first, cladding second

Kick-out flashing, step flashing and window wraps done in the right order, because that is what decides whether the wall stays dry.

Repairs as well as replacement

If a few courses and the sheathing behind them are the problem, we will tell you that instead of quoting the whole elevation.

One contractor for the envelope

Roof, siding, windows and gutters under one point of accountability and one warranty conversation.

Siding questions

Can you match my existing siding?

Usually on a repair, though exact colour matches get harder as the existing siding weathers. We will show you the closest match before committing, and if it is going to read as a patch we will say so.

Do I need to replace all my siding if the damage is in one spot?

Often not. What matters is whether the sheathing and the water barrier behind the siding are still sound — that is what we check first, and it decides repair versus replacement.
